With the incident occurring during Ramadan, residents have expressed significant concern over the lack of access to clean drinking water and are urgently calling for a swift resolution to the matter.

Concerns have mounted among the residents of GDh. Nadella over an unpleasant taste discovered in the water supply transported to the island from Male'.
A member of the public who spoke to RaajjeMV reported that the water currently being supplied to households has an unusual taste, a problem first noticed last Sunday. He further stated that complaints have been lodged with the relevant authorities to investigate the cause of the issue.
Regarding the matter, the Island Council President, Mohamed Anshau, stated that 26 tons of water had been transported from Male'. He noted that complaints regarding an unusual taste in the water were received after it was transferred to the storage tanks and treated. He further mentioned that while water services are currently being provided, samples have been collected and will be sent to Male' on Thursday for testing. He added that Fenaka Corporation is currently managing these efforts.
