Barubaree Mosque officially opened
The newly developed three-story Barbaree Mosque features modern architectural standards and can accommodate up to 1,400 worshippers simultaneously.

Masjid Yusuf Al-Barubaree (Barubaree Mosque) has been officially opened.
The mosque was officially inaugurated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The mosque was officially opened during the Asr prayer on Wednesday.
Developed to modern standards by a private contractor, the Barubaree Mosque has been reconstructed as a three-story structure. The mosque now features a total capacity to accommodate 1,400 worshippers.
The President's Office has stated that extensive work is currently underway to construct and develop mosques across the Greater Male' Area through grant assistance.
The President's Office has announced the government's plan to open several new mosques this year, noting that some of these facilities across various islands have already been inaugurated to coincide with the start of Ramadan. However, the office did not specify the exact locations or the number of mosques that were opened for the fasting month.
