ACC conducts initiative to promote integrity among MNU staff

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has signed an agreement with the Maldives National University (MNU) to collaborate on promoting integrity among the university's staff.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Maldives National University (MNU) signed an agreement on Sunday.
The agreement was signed by Adam Shamil, President of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam, Vice Chancellor of the Maldives National University (MNU).
The ACC stated that the primary objective of this agreement is to identify and achieve collaborative efforts between the two institutions to prevent corruption. It also aims to establish a robust framework for cooperation in implementing the Commission's recommendations and facilitating the exchange of technical assistance.
Furthermore, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) stated that under this agreement, it will provide assistance in conducting symposiums and workshops to promote integrity among the staff of the Maldives National University (MNU). This collaboration includes conducting awareness programs for state institutions and civil society organizations to prevent corruption, as well as designing and implementing courses aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability in governance. The ACC noted that MNU will work closely with the commission to prevent corruption in the formulation of policies and strategies, while the commission will provide the necessary technical expertise for developing anti-corruption policies. Additionally, the commission confirmed it will support the university in conducting integrity-related research and publishing academic journals.
