Residents of the South Henveiru constituency showed strong support for the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) during its door-to-door campaign event held on Monday afternoon.
The door-to-door campaign event featured MDP candidates contesting for the Male' City Council and the Women's Development Committee. They were joined by MDP's Acting Chairperson Abdul Ghafoor Moosa and former Chairperson Fayyaz Ismail, who actively participated in the outreach efforts.

Speaking to RaajjeMV during the activity, both Fayyaz and Ghafoor urged all citizens to vote for MDP candidates in the upcoming Local Council and Women's Development Committee elections. Fayyaz specifically appealed to the residents of Male', requesting them to secure all seats on the City Council for the MDP.
For the sake of the entire nation, the people of Male' must ensure that all MDP candidates contesting for the capital's constituencies are elected this time.Former Chairperson of the MDP, Fayyaz Ismail

Speaking to RaajjeMV, Adam Azim stated that providing a solution to the housing crisis faced by the residents of Male' is a policy exclusive to the MDP. Azim further highlighted that it is only under MDP's policies that individuals registered on the 'Dhaftharu' or the special registry, can secure land plots.
Residents registered on the Male' special registry (Dhaftharu) can only secure housing through our specific policies. The MDP's housing strategy involves reclaiming land at Uthuru Thila Falhu to provide plots for those on the registry. Only the MDP will implement this policy; no other party will deliver this for you. A bright future for the people of Male' remains possible only by voting for the MDP.Adam Azim, the Mayor of Male' City Council

In addition to Mayor Adam Azim, the event was attended by MDP candidates contesting in the upcoming local council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) elections. Among those who actively participated and engaged with the public were Aishath Nazima, the candidate for the South Henveiru seat on the City Council; Aishath Reesha, who is running for the presidency of the Women's Development Committee; and Aminath Sonia, the candidate for the WDC member seat for the same constituency.
