Bank of Maldives (BML) has successfully established ATM services across all inhabited islands of Lhaviyani atoll, following the launch of a new self-service banking ATM in Lh. Olhuvelifushi. This milestone was achieved under the bank’s ongoing nationwide "Mulhi Raajje Ah BML ATM" initiative.
A ceremony to mark the occasion was held on Sunday in Olhuvelifushi, attended by the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources Ahmed Shiyam, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, along with other senior officials from the bank.
With the introduction of the new ATM, residents of Olhuvelifushi can now access a range of essential banking services conveniently, including cash withdrawals, deposits, transfers, and other everyday banking needs. More significantly, this launch marks the completion of BML’s goal to provide ATM services in every inhabited island of Lhaviyani Atoll.
The bank also announced that this milestone reflects broader progress in its nationwide expansion, achieving ATM coverage in all inhabited islands from Thuraakunu island of Haa Alif atoll to Malé City.
BML continues to strengthen its presence across the country, supporting individuals, businesses, and communities through a robust network that includes 42 branches across 20 atolls, 193 self-service banking centers, 251 ATMs, and a suite of modern online banking services.
