Bank of Maldives (BML) has officially laid the foundation for a new branch in Hinnavaru island of Lhaviyani atoll.
The foundation-laying ceremony, held on Monday, was attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, cabinet ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and senior officials of the bank.
Today, we held a ground breaking ceremony for a new BML branch in Lh. Hinnavaru, extending our branch services in the atoll.

At present, residents of Lhaviyani atoll receive banking services through the BML branch located in Naifaru island of the same atoll. In addition to this, the bank has established self-service ATMs across all inhabited islands of the atoll.
The country’s national bank currently operates the country’s largest banking network, with 42 branches across 20 atolls, 200 self-service banking centers, 258 ATMs and a comprehensive suite of modern online banking services. Through this expansion, the bank aims to further strengthen its presence and continue supporting individuals, businesses and communities throughout the Maldives.
