Maldives secures three medals at South Asia tournament

Maldivian athletes who competed in the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Tournament
The Maldives TT teams have won three medals competing in the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship.
Maldives' under-15 and under-19 TT teams competed in this year's tournament held in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu.
The Maldivian teams have won three medals in the tournament. That includes one silver medal and two bronze medals.
Malaak Binth Muizzu and Zeek Hassan Latheef from the Maldives won the silver medal competing in the under-19 mixed doubles event. In the final of the event, the Maldivian pair competed and lost to the pair from India.
Maldives also won bronze medals in the under-15 mixed doubles event and the team event of the tournament. In mixed doubles, Mohamed Khalaf Rafiu and Aishath Alsa Nafiz from the Maldives won bronze. The women's team event also secured bronze.
