Malé City has secured a spot in the second round with yet another impressive victory in a commanding performance in the second match of Group B at the 90 Plus Gold Cup football tournament.

Malé City went head-to-head with B. Thulhaadhoo on Tuesday night at the Galolhu National Stadium.

Malé City beat Thulhaadhoo with a dominant 5–0 victory.

Malé City scored two goals in the first half of the match. The team scored their other three goals in the second half.

The winning team took the lead in the game with an own goal by Thulhaadhoo’s Shamweel Mohamed.

Mohamed Yazdan Hussain scored the second goal for Malé City. In an opportunity to score a third goal in the first half, a penalty taken by Rilwan Waheed of Malé City was unsuccessful. The penalty was awarded for a foul committed on Malé City's Ahnaf Mohamed Thasneem.

Ahnaf extended Malé City's lead by scoring the third goal in the second half of the match.

Mohamed Nail, who came on as a substitute, netted both the fourth and fifth goals for Malé City in the game, scoring twice in quick succession.
