TC Sports Club came from behind to win Monday's match against FC Alga Bishkek in the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup 2017.
TC won the match 2-1 against the Kyrgyzstan team. With the win, TC heads to the semi-finals of the FIFA and AFC registered tournament.
While TC came out strong from the start, FC Alga's Inmeg Nosubaliev Tursunali scored the first goal of the match, in the 36th minute.
TC's equalizer came during the additional time of the first half, by Hassan Ibrahim Waheed.
The local team had a lot of missed opportunities to score during the beginning of the second half. The winning goal was scored by Saint Vincent and the Grenadines national team striker, Cornelius Stewart, in the 69th minute.
With Monday's results, TC Sports Club has won both its matches in the group stage- picking up a total of six points- and has qualified for the semi-finals.
Before leaving for the tournament, TC’s head coach, Mohamed “Nizambe” Nizam told RaajjeMV that the team’s goal was “to win gold” at the Sheikh Kamal Cup.
A total of six countries are competing in this year’s Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup 2017.
The annual tournament is being held in Bangladesh this year.
