Maldives has lost to Kyrgyzstan in their first match of the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship.
The first match was played on Friday.
Kyrgyzstan beat Maldives in straight three sets.
Kyrgyzstan won the sets with scores of 25 – 15, 25 – 13 and 25 – 16.
The winning team showed an impressive performance in the game. However, Maldives was unable to show their best performance.
Five countries are competing in the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship; Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and the host country Uzbekistan.
Maldives' second match in the tournament will be against Turkmenistan.
The team’s third match against Afghanistan will be played on Sunday.
The fourth match will be against Uzbekistan on Tuesday.
The final match will be played on Wednesday, against Tajikistan.
