The World Bank Vice President for South Asia, Martin Raiser has offered his expertise and support to the economic management efforts of the government of Maldives.

He said this during a courtesy call paid on President Dr. Mohamed on Monday.

During the meeting held at the President’s Office, the Maldivian leader expressed sincere appreciation for the continued support and assistance the World Bank has extended to the Maldivian government.

They engaged in extensive discussions on the strategies of the incumbent administration for short-term and long-term economic growth and financial stability.

Muizzu shed light on several policy initiatives proposed by his administration including a commitment to public sector reform, which was announced on Monday during his first-ever presidential address delivered at the first sitting of this year’s People’s Majlis session on Monday morning.

President Muizzu and the World Bank VP for South Asia expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations and partnerships.
