Former President Mohamed Nasheed is to deliver a lecture on climate change and development at the Skoll World Forum, organized by Oxford University.

He will depart to the UK for the forum, which will be held from the 4^th to the 7^th of April.

The panel discussion titled “Energy Leapfrogging or Carbon Imperialism?” will be held on the 6^th of April. The debate will highlight the trade-offs—or false choices—between fostering economic growth in emerging economies, with the imperative to transition to a cleaner-energy future.

He is scheduled to return back to Sri Lanka after the forum.
