Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has met with the Gender Equality Action Plan's Steering Committee.
The meeting was held at the President's Office on Thursday.
Thursday’s meeting saw discussions revolving around expanding efforts to empower women.
It also emphasized on boosting efforts to increase the number of female representatives at the People’s Majlis House.
Increasing female representation at the People’s Majlis is a key pledge outlined in the incumbent administration's "Hafthaa 14" roadmap.
