Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has moved into Hilaaleege, the official residence assigned to Vice Presidents.

RaajjeMV understands that VP Latheef moved into Hilaaleege some time on Thursday.

After assuming office on 17 November 2023, VP Latheef did not immediately move into Hilaaleege.

Hilaaleege has been the official residence of Vice Presidents for many Presidential terms.

Vice President of the last government, Faisal Naseem also resided in Hilaaleege with his family, before moving out in November 2023 after the new administration was elected.

The delay in VP Latheef moving into the official residence of the Vice President, came as Hilaaleege was under renovation.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu moved into the official residence of the President, Mulee’aage in February this year, even though he assumed office in November.

Some renovations were also made in Mulee’aage before the President moved in.
