Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has met with foreign cadets visiting the Maldives to participate in the 23rd National Cadet Camp.
The meeting was held at the President’s Office on Wednesday.
Foreign cadets participating in the 23rd National Cadet Camp hail from India, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Welcoming the cadets to Maldives, VP Latheef expressed gratitude to them for visiting the island nation.
He went on to express confidence that this experience would contribute significantly to the personal growth of the cadets.
Applauding their commitment to gain insights into shared cultural experiences, the vice president encouraged the cadets to make best of this opportunity to foster a rich exchange of ideas and experiences across diverse cultures.
The meeting saw VP Latheef and the cadet delegations from India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal exchanging souvenirs.
The cadet delegations expressed their gratitude to the government of Maldives, for its warm hospitality.
Since its inception in 1991, Maldives has been hosting the National Cadet Camp every year and this year, the National Cadet Camp is being held from 23 December 2023 to 4 January 2024.
This year, cadets are camped at Girifushi Island.
