The shore protection project in Kunburudhoo island of Alif Dhaal atoll, is well underway.

This was revealed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Sunday.

As such, providing the latest updates of the Kunburudhoo shore protection project to the public via a Twitter post, MTCC revealed that they have delivered the second shipment of rock boulders required for the project, to the site.

Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct dredging and reclamation operations in an area measuring 24,000 cubic meters.

Further, a 430-meter rock boulder revetment will also be constructed as part of the project.

MTCC will also be constructing a geotube revetment measuring 185 meters.

Beach replenishment operations will also be carried out in an area measuring 7,171 cubic meters.

The Kunburudhoo shore protection project is valued at MVR 21.2 million.
