A new Chief Internal Auditor has been appointed.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made the appointment on Thursday, April 13.
Appointed as the new Chief Internal Auditor was Fathimath Salaha.
The appointment was made under Section 44-2(b) of the Public Finance Act (Law No. 3/2006).
The President’s Office revealed that the appointment was made at the deputy minister’s level.
Having become a member of the Chartered Certified Accountants of the Maldives this year, Salaha is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of the United Kingdom since 2014.
Prior to her appointment, Salaha served as the Chief Audit Executive at the Ministry of Finance.
Other positions filled by the new Chief Internal Auditor include the Manager of Finance and Accounts at TradeNet Maldives Corporation Limited as well as the Manager of Financial Institutions Audit at the Attorney General's Office.
