Four scholarship opportunities offered through 'National Skills and Career Expo 2022'

Four scholarship opportunities have been offered through the 'National Skills and Career Expo 2022' which opened in Male' City on Friday.

The expo was launched through a joint initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Community Empowerment.

The scholarships are to be offered through selection on a lucky draw basis.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan revealed that the incumbent administration attaches a high priority to produce skilled youth.

The minister went on to reveal that the government has also been working to ensure youth communities are capable and productive members of the society.

Shedding light on the opportunities to study abroad, the minister stated that a scholarship to study piloting in Barcelona, Spain, an opportunity to pursue diploma in culinary arts in Malaysia, one chance to pursue a diploma in interior designing in Malaysia, as well as an opportunity to seek a diploma in aircraft maintenance in Jordan will be provided. The winners of the scholarships will be selected by draw .

Higher education and training institutes, TVET centers, state-owned companies and ministries will participate in the expo to provide information.

Information will be provided to those who visit the expo at 35 stalls.

The 'National Skills and Career Expo 2022' will proceed from November 18 – 19.

It will take place from 4pm to 6pm and from 8pm to 12am at Central Park, Hulhumalé.
