HPA confirms fourth H1N1 fatality
HPA's daily report on the ongoing flu outbreak across the Maldives has revealed a fourth H1N1 positive death
The report also put the total number of patients who had tested positive for the strain at 185

The Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s daily report on the ongoing flu outbreak across the Maldives has revealed a fourth H1N1 positive death.

Saturday’s report also put the total number of patients who have tested positive for the strain at 185, nine more than HPA’s preceding report, on Thursday.

The report also put the total number of tested patients on Saturday at 501. This figure was at 477 in Thursday’s report.

HPA further revealed that 31 patients are currently hospitalized, and 12 were discharged in the past 48 hours.

The agency announced a third fatality on 20th March. 

The agency confirmed the second death on the 16th, reportedly a woman native to Eydhafushi of Baa atoll.

The first patient to have succumbed was a 26-year-old whose death was announced on the 13th, during the press conference to reveal the outbreak.
