The Australian High Commissioner to the Maldives David Holly paid a farewell call on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel.
The High Commissioner of Australia met with the State Minister on Wednesday.
During the meeting, State Minister Khaleel conveyed appreciation for the High Commissioner’s dedication and commitment in strengthening the bilateral ties between Maldives and Australia, and the generous support he had extended to the Maldives during his tenure.
Both State Minister Khaleel and High Commissioner Holly reflected on a number of key bilateral cooperation areas between the two countries including higher education, defense, environment and climate change.
Additionally, the Australian High Commissioner expressed gratitude to the State Minister for the support and cooperation extended to him during his tenure and expressed hope that the relationship between the two countries will enhance in the future.
State Minister Khaleel was accompanied by Joint Secretary Shiuneen Rasheed and Assistant Director Mohamed Shaffau Ibrahim at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
