The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been contracted to develop asphalt roads in Villingili island of Gaaf Alif atoll.
The contract to design and build major roads in Gaaf Alif Villingili was signed on behalf of the government by Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed , while Managing Director of RDC, Moosa Ali Manik signed on behalf of the company.
Under the scope of the project, RDC is required to tar roads stretching up to five kilometers, establish a water drainage system and resurface the asphalt roads.
Installation of streetlights also comes under the scope of the project.
The project is valued at MVR 98,330,536.18 and was contracted to be completed within 490 days.
