Banners hung in various parts of Male’ using lorry
MRDC vehicles used to transport campaign banners
Pictures have surfaced on various social media platforms which shows vehicles owned by Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) being used to transport campaign materials of ruling Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM).
The banners on the vehicles were hung up in various parts of capital Male’ city, as reported by various eyewitnesses.
While public sentiment had risen against such actions, state institutions and Elections Commission had remained silent on it.
