Mohamed Naseer, who was known as a long-serving worker in the Aviation sector, has passed away.
The Seenu atoll Hithadhoo native succumbed from a cardiac illness while receiving treatment in Addu City, early Friday.
Naseer leaves behind his spouse and four children and died aged 73. He was the father of Gais Naseer, Managing Director of Addu International Airport Company.
He had served as a state minister at the Ministry of Home Affairs during the tenure of Former President and current Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed.
Naseer was known for his many services provided to the country’s aviation sector.
