Six bodybuilders to represent Maldives at World Championship
 
This national body building team was put together on July 16th
 
The coach of this team is Abdul Haseeb Hussain and the manager is BBAM’s Vice President, Ahmed Aiman
 
The competition is to be held in the capital city of Uzbekistan, Tashkent on October 2021

Six bodybuilders from the Maldives are to compete in the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2021 on October 12th.

The competition is to be held in the capital city of Uzbekistan, Tashkent.

The Bodybuilding Association of Maldives (BBAM) announced that six bodybuilders from the Maldives have been chosen to take part in the competition.

The athletes to take part in the competition are, Azneen Rasheed, Hussain Himyan, Fathuhullah Mohamed, Ibrahim Nabeel, Mohamed Moosa and Mohamed Rasheed. The coach of this team is Abdul Haseeb Hussain and the manager is BBAM’s Vice President, Ahmed Aiman.

Azneen Rasheed had attained a bronze medal in the 11th World Bodybuilding Physique and Sports Championship in the year 2019 under the men’s sports physique 170-centimeter category. In addition, that same year under the same category, Azneen Rasheed achieved a gold medal in the 12th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physiques Sports Championship and fourth place in the 53rd Asian Bodybuilding Physique Sports Championship. Furthermore, Azneen received first place in the National Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship (Mr. Maldives) this year.

Fathuhullah Mohamed obtained a bronze medal in the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physiques Sports Championship under the 167-centimeter category and he achieved first place in the 170-centimeter category of this years Mr. Maldives.

Contender, Mohamed Moosa has also proved himself during many international competitions. He achieved a bronze medal in the senior men’s 55 kilo bodybuilding category in the World Bodybuilding Physique and Sports Championship. Furthermore, he had achieved both gold and bronze medals in the 55-kilo bodybuilding category in the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship and first place in the 60-kilo category during this year’s Mr. Maldives.

Mohamed Rasheed received first place under the 70-kilo category during this year’s Mr. Maldives and has previously won this competition a total of three times.

This national body building team was put together on 16 July and the six was chosen from the eight that contended, according to BBAM.
