The underwater restaurant at You & Me by Cocoon Maldives has been rebranded and re-opened as H20 by Andrea Berton, four-starred Michelin chef from Italy.
The restaurant was rebranded and due to open on 1 April 2020, with efforts delayed by a year due to the onset of the global Covid-19 pandemic. H20 by Andrea Berton will be run compltely by Italian Chef Andrea Berton, who has won four Michelin stars across a long and prolific career spanning decades in international culinary excellence.
Speaking to Raajje MV about his new role and hopes at H20, Chef Andrea Berton stated that he was overhoyed with the opportunity, noting that the Maldives was the ideal environment to work in and even vacation at.
Corporate Chef at You & Me Giovanni de Ambrosis stated that no visitor to H20 by Andrea Berton could complain about the restaurant's one-of-a-kind menu, prepared by four-time Michelin star winner Chef Andrea Berton.
At an interview with Raajje MV, Managing Director of You & Me by Cocoon Alessandro Azzola revealed that this was the first time Michelin-starred chef would be heading a restaruant in the Maldives, let alone one that provided as unique an experience as fine dining six meters under the beautiful waters of the Maldives. He added that under Chef Berton's leadership, the H20 restaurant would be even better positioned to cater to all the needs of guests choosing to stay at the You & Me resort.
Detailing their hopes for the restaurant's new brand and beginning, General Manager at You & Me Jihad Ahmed stated that H20 was remarkable as one of the finest underwater restaurants in the Maldives, and that the impression they would be providing customers would go beyond fine dining into a fully coalesced "lifetime experience".
The You & Me resort in Raa atoll has been open for two years, and the H20 restaurant had been receiving rave reviews from visitors even prior to it's Michelin rebrand with Chef Andrea Berton. The H20 restaurant is situated just outside the You & Me private island, which is a unique, adults-only resort which caters laregely to tourists travelling to the Maldives from abroad.
