German charter airline, Condor has resumed operations to the Maldives.

While Condor’s first flight since border reopening in July landed at Velana International Airport (VIA) on Sunday, the airline will be operating two weekly flights to the island nation; on Monday and Saturdays.

The airline is also offering promotional packages to the Maldives, and other resort destinations.

Flying these long-haul services will be Condor’s fleet of Boeing 767-300ERs.

Maldives halted issuing on-arrival visas on March 27 and a little over three months later, reopened borders for international travel on July 15. While tourist arrivals were low following border reopening, it has been increasing every month since.
