State Trading Organization (STO) says work on two blocks of the Male’ West Harbor Food Courts will be completed by end of July.
STO Managing Director Ahmed Shaheer said the foundation work of the project was on going and blocks one and two will be completed.
Shaheer added that Food Courts are separated into four blocks. The delays, he said were caused by delays in receiving materials.
The cafés on the West Harbor were closed off and handed over to STO in January 2016. Housing Ministry tasked the company with creating brand new food courts, with 25 or 27 stalls. The area will have a parking zone.
The project was initially slated to be completed in six months. However, work is yet to commence in the area.
