An expatriate declared dead-on-arrival at Hulhumalé Hospital, has tested positive to Covid-19.
The Health emergency Operations Center (HEOC) revealed that they had conducted PCR testing on the deceased as per protocol.
The deceased expatriate has been identified as a 43-year-old Bangladeshi national.
Although the test results returned positive for the ongoing pandemic, authorities are yet to declare the death as a Covid-19 death.
HEOC revealed that they are yet to determine whether it is a death directly related to Covid-19.
Further details regarding the death have not been provided.
