The suspect arrested in connection to a stabbing incident in Kulhudhuffushi City of Haa Dhaal atoll, has been remanded.
Kulhudhuffushi native, Ali Saajid, 28, was remanded earlier and on Saturday, his remand was extended by 10 days.
The stabbing is to have been reported to the Maldives Police Service (MPS) at around 11:25am on Wednesday.
The stabbing took place inside a shop, ‘Baraabaru’ in the northernmost city and a 22-year-old man was injured in the stabbing. His right ear was injured due to the stabbing.
The injured man was treated at Kulhudhuffushi Hospital and has since been released.
The case is under further investigation, and police are yet to reveal further details in connection to the stabbing.
