Maldives reports sixth Covid-19 related death

Deceased is a 54-year-old Bangladeshi man

A 54-year-old Bangladeshi Covid-19 patient has passed away in Maldives.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced this via Twitter on Monday afternoon.

It said that the man admitted at Tree Top Hospital passed away at 2:30pm.

This is the sixth Covid-19 related death in the Maldives, and the third Bangladeshi national to have succumbed to the virus in the country.

While the country has seen a total of 1,773 Covid-19 cases thus far, 974 (54.94 percent) are Bangladeshi nationals.
