Covid-19: 39 new cases recorded in the Maldives

A total of 81 cases confirmed on Saturday

39 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the Maldives.

While the cases were announced at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC)'s Covid-19 press briefing on Saturday night, a total of 81 new cases were identified in the last 24 hours including the 42 announced earlier.

With this, the country's Covid-19 case count has reached 1,672.

Maldives began easing lockdown measures on Friday, however, authorities have said that it will be done in more phases compared to other nations.
