Covid-19: 43 new cases recorded in Maldives pushing total to 1,438

Maldives Covid-19 cases has surpassed 1,400.

The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) said that a total of 43 new cases have been recorded since 11pm on Monday; 17 cases before between 11pm to 12am and 26 on Tuesday.

With the new cases, the country’s total has risen to 1,438.

A community transmission was detected in the capital on April 15, and the city has been on lockdown since.
