109 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the Maldives.

This was revealed at the Covid-19 press briefing at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) on Friday night.

13 of the recoveries are the cases reported prior to the detection of a community transmission, from resorts.

Authorities have said that recovery rate is slower than anticipated, adding that it is taking an average of 17 days. The current recovery rate is at 8.56 percent.

Maldives has seen a total of 1,274 Covid-19 cases thus far, and there have been four deaths.
