Two expats arrested after a clash led to stabbing

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested two migrant workers in connection to a clash between a group of migrant workers which led to one of them being stabbed, in the Maldives capital Malé City early Friday.

The authority revealed that they received the report of the attack close to 2am on Friday, from a house that accommodates migrant workers, on Chaandhanee Magu.

Officers had taken two migrant workers under their custody following the incident.

The victim of the assault was found lying unconscious on the road after fleeing from the house where the person was stabbed in the head.

The victim was rushed to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment, in the police vehicle.

The case is under further investigation.
