Maldives has reported 51 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the country’s total to 955.

This was revealed at Wednesday night’s Covid-19 press briefing at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC).

In a tweet sent out after the press conference, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) disclosed the nationalities of the new cases; They include 26 Indians, 12 Maldivians, 11 Bangladeshis, 01 Sri Lankan and a Nepalese

While the number of cases confirmed in the country have been significantly low in the past few days, authorities stressed that this is not due to lack of testing.

The country has reported 955 cases thus far. There have been 40 recoveries and three Covid-19 related deaths.
