State Trading Organization (STO) has held disinfected its shops and warehouses after an employee tested positive for Covid-19.

Speaking at Saturday night’s Covid-19 press conference, taskforce’s spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Aziz confirmed that an employee has tested positive for the virus and that a disinfection programme of his shops and warehouses have been carried out.

He added that the employee resides in STO’s labour quarters, and that contact tracing is underway.

Mabrook also said that the disinfection programme was held at STO Supermarket, Trade Center as well as its warehouses.

While the decontamination work concluded by 11pm, STO’s e-store services were halted on Saturday and will resume on Sunday.
