Monitoring measures have been lifted from a number of islands.
While there were 21 islands under monitoring on Wednesday, there are currently 16.
Measures have been lifted from Kuda Villingilli island of Kaafu atoll, Thulhagiri Island Resort also in Kaafu, Uligan island of Haa Alif, as well as Maafaru and Miladhoo islands in Shaviyani atoll.
Further, there are currently 244 houses under monitoring with measures placed on 11 on Thursday. Eight businesses (shops, go downs and clinics) and three vessels are under monitoring as well.
The islands currently under monitoring are;

- Thulusdhoo, Kaafu
- Narudhoo, Noonu
- Holhudhoo, Shaviyani
- Funadhoo, Shaviyani
- Milandhoo, Shaviyani
- Feevah, Shaviyani
- Maaungoodhoo, Shaviyani
- Kendhikulhudhoo, Noonu
- Henbadhoo, Noonu
- Utheemu, Haa Alif
- Dhidhdhoo, Haa Alif
- Goidhoo, Shaviyani
- Hirimaradhoo, Haa Dhaal
- Kendhoo, Baa
- Kumundhoo, Haa Dhaal
Most of these islands under monitoring are in the north. A captain of a boat that took 98 passengers to 13 islands in the area on April 15, from the capital where a community transmission was detected the same day, has tested positive for Covid-19.
Eight others contacts of his have tested positive as well; seven from Narudhoo island and one in Milandhoo. Authorities had previously states that over 110 contacts of his had been identified, and that 36 of them were at high risk of infection.
