Covid-19: Hulhumale' residents and businesses urged to carry out online transactions

Businesses are urged to register with HDC to have their listing on the website
Other initiatives taken by HDC include regular disinfection of public areas

Housing Development Corporation Ltd (HDC) has urged residents and businesses in the greater male' suburb Hulhumale' to carry out online transactions.

In a press statement released on Sunday, HDC appeals for all residents of Hulhumale' to comply with social distancing practices advised by the relevant health authorities and buy groceries and other necessities via online services.

As such, HDC has introduced a specialwebsitedetailing businesses in the city that offers delivery services whether via phone or online.

Further, the co-operation has requested businesses to register with them to have their services listed on the website.

According to HDC, the co-operation has undertaken many efforts to assist in the government's efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19.

This includes regular disinfection of bus stops, public areas and stairway railings, in addition to cleaning the Hulhumale' beach area.
