State discloses nationalities of confirmed Covid-19 cases
Mabrook stated that the confirmed cases include nine patients from Italy and one each from Turkey, UK, Germany and South Africa

The state has disclosed the nationalities of the 13 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Maldives.

Speaking at Monday's press conference by the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) at Dharubaaruge, spokesperson for the government's Covid-19 task force, Mohamed Mabrook Aziz revealed the nationalities and gender of the confirmed patients.

He stated that the confirmed cases include nine patients from Italy and one patient each from Turkey, United Kingdom, Germany and South Africa.

Further, he disclosed that seven patients are women whereas six are men.

Currently, the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country is at 13. While five were discovered from Kuredu Island Resort, two cases each were found from Sandies Bathala Maldives, Kuramathi Maldives, Anantara Dhigu and Island Safari 1.
