The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that work is underway to take samples from 10 more individuals who have begun developing Covid-19 symptoms.
The reveal was made via Twitter on Thursday.
As such, HPA revealed that they are taking samples from 10 individuals who have been isolated in Kuredu Island Resort, where the first two cases of Covid-19 were discovered last Saturday.
The authority has taken samples from two foreign nationals in OBLU-Sangeli Resort after they began showing symptoms for the fatal infection.
All samples have been taken as a precautionary measure, revealed HPA.
Further, it has been confirmed that monitoring mechanisms are in place until further notice.
