Dhivehi Bahuge Academy signs agreement with M7 to promote local literature
The agreement ceremony was held on Wednesday at the head office of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy.
The agreement was signed by President of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy, Ashraf Ali and the Managing Director of M7, Mohamed Abdul Sattar.
According to Sattar, the programme plans to promote local literature through a children's book or literature contest.

Dhivehi Bahuge Academy has signed an agreement with local printing agency, M7 to promote reading of local literature.

The agreement ceremony was held on Wednesday at the head office of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy. The agreement was signed by President of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy, Ashraf Ali and the Managing Director of M7, Mohamed Abdul Sattar.

During the ceremony, President of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy, Ashraf Ali stated that efforts to promote local literature - especially among children - is extremely important. Noting the lack of children's dhivehi literature, he stated that M7's proposal for the joint venture to promote reading was very welcome.

Managing Director of M7, Mohamed Abdul Sattar also spoke during the ceremony and stated that this programme will continue for at least three years or more.

According to Sattar, the programme plans to promote local literature through a children's book or literature contest. He further stated that details about the contest will be announced at a future date, adding that professionals from the education sector will be in-charge of the contest.
