Two injured in Fuvahmulah accident to be transferred to capital
 
Both are being treated at the Fuvahmulah Hospital currently for several injuries
 
A 16-year-old riding on the passenger seat of the motorcycle was left unharmed
 
A 64-year-old man was operating the motorcycle at the time of the collision and the cart was being pulled by a 32-year-old man

Maldives Police Service (MPS) is working to transfer the two individuals who were injured in an accident in Fuvahmulah City, to capital city Malé for further treatment.

Police revealed that they received reports of the accident close to 07:15pm on Sunday and that the accident occurred when a motorcycle riding west near the Cricket Stadium crashed into a cart attempting to cross the street.

A 64-year-old man was operating the motorcycle at the time of the collision and the cart was being pulled by a 32-year-old man. Both were Maldivians.

Both are being treated at the Fuvahmulah Hospital currently for several injuries including a shoulder fracture, leg injuries and scrapes.

A 16-year-old riding on the passenger seat of the motorcycle was left unharmed in the accident, revealed the police further.

Authorities have reported that the man riding the motorcycle was licensed to operate vehicles.

Police have since launched further investigations into the case.
