Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has fulfilled their debt to popular goalkeeper, Imran Mohamed.

Last year, Imran submitted a complaint after local football club, New Radient, failed to pay him his wages. Other players followed suit after Imran submitted the complaint.

According to the letter addressed to New Radient on June 12th 2019, FAM stated that the organisation has decided to equally disburse the MVR300,000 prize money from 2018 between the ten players that submitted complaints.

These players include Ali Ashfaq (dhagandey), Akram Abdul Ghanee, Imran Nasheed, Mohamed Umair, Hamza Mohamed (Hampu), Mohamed Rasheed (Hokey), Rilwan Waheed (Riley), Hassan Adham (Sadey) and Hisam Saleem (kokky).

Nevertheless, Imran publicly voiced concern after the remaining players were given their wages but he was not. While Imran recently expressed his concern as well, he has since stated that FAM has finally disbursed his wages.

Imran, who is considered the country's best goalkeeper, played for the Maldives national football team for 17 years. He retired from his 20-year long football career after his contract with TC Sports Club was nullified mid-season.
