Malé League matches will resume in April, said Football Association of Maldives (FAM).
Due to the H1N1 outbreak across the country, FAM, along with all the other sports associations, decided on to postpone all scheduled events. Health Protection Agency (HPA) had recommended to close off schools, and to stay away from crowded areas.
FAM’s President Bassam Adeel Jaleel told RaajjeMV that the Malé League will resume on April 3, and that the games will go on “as announced previously”, with changes only to the dates.
The league will now start after the match between Maldives and Palestine, on March 28.
FAM has also postponed the inter-school football tournament and Minivan Championship, which was scheduled for March 15.
Dates for the tournaments are to be announced later.
