H1N1 outbreak
Male’ League will resume when HPA authorizes it: FAM
Held discussions over restarting Male’ League
Earliest possible date in April

Football Association of Maldives (FAM) Vice President Aishath Nazima says that Male’ League will be resumed when Health Protection Agency (HPA) gives the go-ahead.

The League and all other sporting events were cancelled when H1N1 outbreak was reported and a level three alert was declared for the nation.

Male’ League had just started when the flu outbreak occurred. Some teams had played three matches, while other teams had just managed to play one match.

Speaking to Raajje.mv, Nazima said that Male’ League will resume once HPA gives the authorization, adding that the Association was in discussions with HPA over it. She added that Male’ League will begin earliest in April second week, as the pitch is booked for national team match against Palestine and Maziya’s AFC Cup match.

New Radiant is currently at the top of the table with six points. Maziya had also gained six points, but was second due to goal difference.

Eagles is at third with four points.
