While nominations have been opened for South Asian Travel Awards 2020, the event’s organizer Highrise revealed that a location for the event will be announced during March.

The company’s Managing Director Mohamed Shameen stated that several activities have been planned for the awards including promoting Maldives tourism brand.

Further, the partners for SATA 2020 will also be revealed later this ongoing month.

While it dubbed the most anticipated tourism and hospitality recognition award in South Asia, Shameen revealed that they have received nominations from world renowned brands within the short period of time.

Deadline for forwarding nominations is set at 12am, 29 February 2020.

This year, nine more categories have been added to the prestigious annual event, which brings it down to a total of 52 categories for brands to compete for, in addition to the Visitors’ Choice Award and Special Recognition Award.

Ove 500 travel and tourism business operators were nominated during the SATA 2019.

Endorsed by over 15 international and government agencies for its work to enhance tourism and hospitality in the region, SATA was launched during 2016 and celebrates the best of South Asian Hospitality across the region, providing an excellent platform to be known for outstanding achievements.

Highrise announced that the main event of the 5th SATA will be held in the Maldives.
