The Bank of Maldives (BML) has been made the platinum partner to this year’s Travel Trade Maldives, a travel fair organized by Maldives Getaways.

BML’s CEO and Managing Director Andrew Healy signed the contract with Maldives Getaways, the fair’s organizer, on Tuesday during an event at the bank’s head office in capital city Malé.

Tuesday’s signing also makes the bank the title partner to the Hotelier Summit 2017, which will be held at the fair – where over 3,000 members from the local and international travel sector will be in attendance.

“This fair will help local industry stakeholders to strengthen further their international connections in order to promote the country in even more markets” Healy said at the signing.

CEO Healy had further cited the government’s aim to garner two million tourist arrivals by the year 2020, to state that the bank is proud to be able to bolster the influx of tourists into the country.

Maldives Getaways had also signed a platinum partner agreement with American Express.

The company is a leader in local marketing and public relations.
