This year’s South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) is to be held at the Equator Village in Addu City.

While Highrise – the event’s organizer – will nominate over 450 candidates for awards in various categories, they have begun screening local candidates.  

Telecommunications provider Ooredoo Maldives is the event’s platinum partner, while Hawks Pvt Ltd is gold partner to this year’s SATA.

After having completed its local evaluation, Highrise will screen candidates in Sri Lanka. This process is scheduled for 19^th and 22^nd August. Its screening for candidates in South India will be held from 23^rd to 27^th August.

In 2016, SATA was held in Mount Lavinia in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
