Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League: TC secures narrow win against Eagles

TC Sports Club has avenged its defeat against Club Eagles by beating the club during Thursday’s match of the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.
During the match played at the Galolhu Stadium, TC secured a narrow win of 1 – 0.
Equal performance was observed through players from both teams into the beginning of the match, and both teams lost several chances to score.
Football star Ali Ashfaq had lost a golden opportunity to score for TC, alongside Ahmed Rizwan from Eagles.
Neither TC nor Eagles scored during the first half of the match.
Although TC players stepped up their attacks into the second half, their attempt to score went down the drains at the 75th minute. Eagles also failed at an attempt to score during the 74th minute of the game.
Luck was on TC’s side when player Ismail Eesa finally scored the winning goal for the team at the 77th minute of the game.
Eagles coach, Mohamed Shiyaz commended TC players performance during the match and stated that the team deserved the win. Following this match, Eagles has to step up their work to remain on the second spot of the points table, he added.
Maziya Sports and Recreation Club secured the top spot in the table with 44 points. Club Eagles remains at the second spot with 33 points.
Third on the table, TC Sports has a total of 31 points and Green Streets is at its tail with 26 points.
