Maziya Sports and Recreation has secured a spot in the top four in the Male’ League, while TC Sports Club faced several challenges.
The Monday night clash between these two teams ended with a nil score line for the both teams.
First half of the game saw equal play, with both teams getting equal chances to score.
However, Maziya’s midfielder Assad Ali was booted off, having earned a red card in the 40th minute. The red card was for a dangerous foul on TC’s Abdullah Haneef.
TC improved their play in the second half, sending well placed attacks on Maziya goal. However, they were unable to make a difference against the 10-man Maziya. In spite of this, Maziya were unable to make a dent in the score.
Maziya had earned 24 points from 11 matches and sits comfortably in the first place of the point table. TC is at the 6th place, with 14 points from 11 matches.
